NIC Research Group Nuclear Matter in Darmstadt

The NIC group on nuclear matter at Frankfurt University, explores the properties of QCD-matter at frontiers of baryon densities and temperature. The group employs various approaches (e.g. the relativistic Boltzmann-equation, relativistic ideal and viscous hydrodynamics, magneto- and chiral hydrodynamics) for the numerical investigation of various signatures of the deconfinement phase transition of QCD. The main benefit of these approaches is that they allow for a direct comparison to experimental data.
